Head of Unicorn Capital talks about investments in the biotech industry
August 17 as part of a regular webinar series by the Skolkovo Foundation Biomedical Technologies Cluster, a representative of Unicorn Capital investment fund spoke about the role of venture capital in medical innovation and measures to support startups.
The CEO and managing partner of Unicorn Capital, Alexey Vinogradov, elaborated on fund’s contribution to healthcare and shared with the audience how and where a biomedical startup should look for investments.
"A science-based debut idea that addresses an unmet medical need, IP protection, and reasonable prerequisites for an edge over the competition are all that is needed to build a successful medbiotech market," commented Alexey Vinogradov.
During the session the listeners also learned from the speaker the secrets of a "selling" pitch and the most frequent mistakes made during project defense.
